The boredom of a classroom led me to poetry initially. Many years later, a colleague asked if I wanted to contribute to a collection of poems that he was putting together with his friends at an independent publishing house.
So, I wrote a poem inspired by a fantastic date that I had had with someone special.
As you would have it, Pan MacMillan India then picked up this collection of poems and published the anthology - 100 Poems Are Not Enough, a collective of some great young poets from all over the world.

I don't think poetry has to always be dark, laden and make people look out the window sadly, it can be light and funny leaving the reader with a smile. I wanted my poem to be a relief in the midst of some intense pages. It touches upon the effort people put into their appearance (on first dates).
I'll always be thankful for the opportunity!
